Glory Be Prayer (Gloria Patri)

The Glory Be—also called the Gloria Patri—is a short and powerful prayer of praise to the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Catholics pray it daily in the Rosary, before and after psalms, and whenever they want to honor God with a simple act of love.

When Should You Pray the Glory Be?

  • During the Rosary
  • At the end of personal prayers
  • Before or after reading Scripture
  • To praise God in moments of joy or need
  • As a quick prayer throughout the day

🌿 Glory Be (Gloria Patri)

Glory be to the Father,

and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit;

as it was in the beginning,

is now,

and ever shall be,

world without end.

Amen.

The Glory Be is prayed at the end of each decade of the Rosary.
