Glory Be Prayer (Gloria Patri)

The Glory Be—also called the Gloria Patri—is a short and powerful prayer of praise to the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Catholics pray it daily in the Rosary, before and after psalms, and whenever they want to honor God with a simple act of love.

When Should You Pray the Glory Be?

During the Rosary
At the end of personal prayers
Before or after reading Scripture
To praise God in moments of joy or need
As a quick prayer throughout the day

🌿 Glory Be (Gloria Patri)

Glory be to the Father,

and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit;

as it was in the beginning,

is now,

and ever shall be,

world without end.

Amen.

The Glory Be is prayed at the end of each decade of the Rosary.
