Novena to the Holy Angels
The angels are God’s messengers and protectors, always at work in the world, guiding and guarding souls. In this novena, we turn to the Holy Angels of God—especially our own Guardian Angel—and ask for their intercession, protection, and help in our daily spiritual battles.
This novena can be prayed at any time, but is especially appropriate before the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels (October 2) or Feast of the Archangels (September 29).
Let us pray with confidence, knowing that the angels surround us and assist us on our journey toward Heaven.
How to Pray the Novena
- Pray the following prayer once a day for nine consecutive days.
- At the moment of the petition, speak from your heart and mention your special intention.
- You may conclude with a Glory Be, as the prayer itself suggests.
Daily Prayer:

NOVENA TO THE HOLY ANGELS
Bless the Lord, all you His angels.
You who are mighty in strength and do His will,
intercede for me at the throne of God.
By your unceasing watchfulness
protect me in every danger of soul and body.
Obtain for me the grace of final perseverance,
so that after this life
I may be admitted to your glorious company
and with you may sing the praises of God for all eternity.All you holy angels and archangels,
thrones and dominations,
principalities and powers and virtues of heaven,
cherubim and seraphim,
and especially you,
my dear guardian angel,
intercede for me
and obtain for me the special favor I now ask(Mention your need here…)

Optional Reflection (Each Day)
You may choose to end your prayer each day with a short reflection or gratitude toward the angelic hosts. For example:
- Thank you, dear angels, for guarding me today.
- Help me to remain pure and faithful to God.
- Holy Angels, surround my loved ones with your protection.
